Watch: Workspace Management walkthrough
Video tutorial coming soon
We're producing a walkthrough for this guide. In the meantime, the written steps below cover everything.
How Organization view differs from Outlet view, and when to use each.
Why two views?
Owners and managers have different needs. An owner wants to see every outlet at once and compare them. An outlet manager just wants to run their location cleanly. Digital Dineway serves both without cluttering the UI.
Organization view
Aggregates every outlet under your business. Revenue totals, per-outlet comparison tables, consolidated order feeds.
Outlet view
Scoped to a single outlet you select. Clean, focused, reflects only that location.
Switching views
- 1Click the outlet name in the topbar. A modal slides in from the center of the page.
- 2Use the search bar to filter a long outlet list.
- 3Pick Organization at the top to aggregate, or pick a single outlet to focus.
- 4The page refreshes with the new view active. Your choice is remembered across sessions.
Selection is sticky: your workspace choice is stored so every new tab and sign-in picks up where you left off.
Organization view
Organization view rolls every outlet into one workspace. Best for:
- •Owners comparing outlet performance side-by-side
- •Multi-outlet chains that want a single order feed
- •Weekly or monthly reporting across the whole business
Outlet view
Outlet view scopes everything to the one location you pick. Best for:
- •Outlet managers running day-to-day service
- •Kitchen staff on a KDS screen — no noise from other outlets
- •Troubleshooting a single location without losing context
How each page behaves
Current rollout
Organization view is rolling out across the dashboard. Live Orders, Live Kitchen, and all three report pages are fully-functional in both views today.
The Dashboard home, Menus, and QR Codes pages are still being migrated to respect the active view mode — expect updates across upcoming releases. Keep an eye on the changelog.
